Policy

Basic Policy 1 in "Beyond Imagination 2030," our long-term management plan, is "Develop and activate self-sufficient personnel who are capable of acting independently, and who respond to diversifying organizations and societies". We endeavor to develop self-sufficient personnel who set their own goals and have high aspirations to achieve them by maintaining a good balance in work motivation, healthy workplace environment, and fair evaluations and compensation.
In addition, the Sustainability Promotion Committee deliberates and decides on the identification of important matters related to human capital and disclosure policies, and a system has been established to receive recommendations from the Board of Directors on important matters.

In order to realize our management philosophy, we are committed to human resource and organizational development to cultivate Self-Sufficient, both individuals and organizations, who can envision the future on their own initiative, make judgments based on the essence of things, and perform their duties with the involvement of those around them. At the same time, we are actively developing the internal environment that will serve as the foundation for the development of Self-Sufficient Personnel.

Metrics and Targets

We administered stress checks for all employees at our company and domestic subsidiaries. We consider comprehensive indicators, including employee satisfaction levels, not just the legal elements. Of the 36 items, we scored above the national average on 31 items, with figures that compare favorably with national averages.
We will continue to rebalance work motivation, a healthy work environment, and fair evaluations and compensation to achieve a good balance and will strive to realize a cheerful society by creating the environment and establishing the means for employees to contribute more actively as self-sufficient personnel.

Initiatives to Improve Access to Health Care

Demand for pharmaceuticals is rapidly increasing in developing countries due to population growth and economic development. However, access to medical services and medicines still needs to be secured due to inadequate infrastructure, medical environment, and financial reasons. In light of this situation, Taiyo Holdings group is investing in healthcare-related fields* in Africa to build a network with local companies with which we can expect synergies in the future while aiming to solve social issues and realize sustainable businesses. In addition, we are cooperating with the "Vaccines for the World's Children Support Program" of the Japan Committee, Vaccines for the World's Children, (JCV), a certified Non-Profit Organization (NPO).

Supply Chain Management

To maintain quality and a stable supply, Taiyo Holdings Group continues to procure raw materials and other materials based on the Green Procurement Standards, which it has been working on for a long time. To solve social issues in cooperation with suppliers and achieve mutual growth, we are focusing on strengthening relationships of trust with suppliers, including contract manufacturers. As part of this effort, Taiyo Ink Mfg. We conduct questionnaires using the CSR survey form to check the status of our efforts in environmental, human rights, labor, safety and health, and other areas.

Occupational Safety and Health

The Taiyo Group's production bases hold monthly meetings of the Health and Safety Committee and actively work on activities for occupational health and safety by conducting self-defense firefighting and emergency training, and safety and health education, as well as by conducting special medical examinations, and environmental measurements, while working to create a pleasant workplace environment by incorporating the opinions of employees. In addition, we conduct activities to foster safety awareness such as near-miss or close call prevention training and accident prediction training.

Community

Cooperation as Blood Drive Supporter

The Taiyo Ink Mfg. main office and Taiyo Pharma Tech support the blood drive measures sponsored by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) by supporting blooddrive and encouraging understanding and participation among employees in blood drives. In fiscal 2023, 147 employees participated in blood drives.

Children's Cafeteria

The Taiyo Group sponsors a children's cafeteria at Ekimae Ranzan Shokudo, located in front of Musashi-Ranzan Station in Saitama Prefecture. In fiscal 2023, we provided between 50 and 70 takeout bento boxes twice a month. As we have started to serve meals at the restaurant instead of providing takeouts since April 2023, we will continue to provide meals and a place to eat to deliver a fun dining experience for as many children as possible.

Hosting Plant Tours and Hosting Social Studies Field Trips

Taiyo Pharma Tech hosts plant tours in Open Takatsuki, an interactive engagement event hosted by the City of Takatsuki, the Takatsuki City Tourism Association, and the Takatsuki Chamber of Commerce and Industry. And also welcomes elementary school facility tours and responds to children's interviews. The Taiyo Ink Mfg. head office hosts social studies field trips from local elementary schools, in which the company shows school children the manufacturing process of solder resist (SR), providing opportunities to spark their interest in chemistry.

Establishment of "T-Links," a Welfare Facility That Serves the Community as a Temporary (Evacuation) Shelter

In November 2022, T-LINKS, a welfare facility, opened on the premises of Taiyo Pharma Tech in Takatsuki City, Osaka Prefecture. Although the facility is primarily for the use of employees, it is a new welfare facility that connects the company and the local community, serving as a temporary shelter in the event of a disaster for those who remain in Takatsuki City and are unable to return home, as well as for nearby residents. Taiyo Holdings Group will continue to utilize the welfare facility "T-LINKS" to create a comfortable working environment for employees and to harmonize with the local community and society.
